Our K-laser class IV therapeutic laser provides a non-pharmaceutical solution to target the cells that lead to the body’s natural repair mechanisms. It does this by increasing blood flow and improving local circulation, drawing water, oxygen and nutrients into damaged tissue and removing waste products such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. This enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself and reduces pain, inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms and stiffness in a range of conditions that pets may suffer from.
Benefits for pets
- improved pain relief for a wide range of conditions
- promotes faster wound healing with stronger, more normal tissue formation with less tension and therefore it reduces or eliminates scar formation
- shorter treatment times
- can reduce or eliminate the need for medical treatments
- helps to reduce the effects of the natural ageing process
As part of our commitment to your pet’s quality of life, Lawn Veterinary Centre are proud to be one of the very few veterinary practices in Wiltshire to offer this therapy. K-laser treatment is surprisingly affordable and has been proven to be a major success, especially in treating infection or muscular skeletal problems. K-laser is clinically proven to reduce pain and inflammation (thus reducing or eliminating the need for non-steroidal pain killers) whilst speeding up healing of damaged tissue).
You might be pleased to note that K-laser Class IV therapy is recognised by most animal insurers as a veterinary-prescribed treatment, ensuring that your pet’s laser therapy sessions are covered under the normal terms of their veterinary insurance policy.

How many treatments are needed?
This will depend on the problem being treated. Some acute conditions may respond to 1 or 2 sessions, whilst more chronic issues can require a treatment course of 7 to begin with followed by top up treatments every few months to keep your pet pain free.
How long before results are seen?
This again depends on the condition being treated. The benefits of laser therapy are cumulative and results are usually seen after 3 or 4 sessions.
Is it painful for my pet?
No, it’s a painless procedure, your pet may experience a pleasant warming sensation at the site being treated.
