COVID-19 Coronavirus update

We are confident that during the current outbreak, we will be able to maintain a high standard of veterinary care for your pets. However, in order to protect our staff, clients and their pets we need to make some changes to the way in which we deliver our services to you. These changes are designed to protect everyone and reduce the spread of COVID-19 as per the government’s current recommendations.

The British Veterinary Association has issued a directive that all small animal veterinary practices should stop undertaking routine work and only treat life threatening emergencies.

This was followed by the prime minister announcing the measures needed to slowdown the progression of the coronavirus infection to avoid overwhelming our NHS.

As a result of these developments it has become necessary for us to make changes to the way that we provide veterinary care for your pets.

We’ve worked out a plan to support you, whilst adhering to the government’s disease control measures.

To ensure the constant provision of veterinary services we’ve split into two teams. Each team will work one week on and one week off.

From today, consultations will be conducted by telephone or by video call. Those cases which we deem to be life threatening emergencies will be seen here at the surgery.

For the non-life threatening conditions, we will work with the remote consultations to assess your pet as best as we can and provide the necessary treatment.

Repeat medications can be ordered from the surgery and collected, or if necessary, delivered to you.

Please be assured we are here to support you and your pets through this difficult time this may not be face to face but it will still be with the same

Lawn team that you know so well and we’d like to thank you for your support.

Emma Pickles

A fantastic vets with passionate, caring and friendly staff. I know my dog is in safe hands every time we visit. Family have moved their pets over to Lawn as a result of the excellent service that I have always received and are also very happy with them.

Ann Lomas

Without any doubt, this is the best vets in Swindon. Over the years they have looked after our dogs and cats, with great care and attention. At a time when most vets seem to be totally engaged in fees etc, Lawns always puts the animal first and foremost…

Ruth Townsend

Been using this practice for a number of years. Everyone is always friendly and I feel that they have a skill in being both empathetic and honest during those difficult times when we want what is not always best for our pets.
